HOW DO I PREPARE FOR MY TREATMENT?
Each session is 50 minutes in duration. There may be sauna suits available for purchase at the time of your appointment, but it is recommended that you bring your own sweat suit and socks to wear during your treatment. Wear little if any jewelry, and it is suggested to bring an extra set of clothes to change into after your treatment. Please try to come well hydrated, we will have fresh cold water available for you before, during and after your treatment. Industry standard 48 hour cancellation policy applies.
WHAT IS INFRARED THERAPY?
Infrared Therapy is defined as the use of infrared as by infrared lamps or heating pads to relieve pain and increase circulation to a particular area of the body. To better understand infrared therapy, we have to have a better understanding of what type of infrared rays we are speaking about. Infrared heat is a form of energy that is produced by the sun. Infrared divides into three infrared waves: near or close, middle or intermediate, and far or long. Infrared light cannot be seen by the human eye, but we know that infrared is present by feeling the warmth on our skin. When experiencing the body wrap, you'll notice that your body begins to feel like it's warming from the inside out, and that's when you begin to detox.
HOW SHOULD I STAY HYDRATED?
You should drink water before, during and after your session. Additional water is needed after your session to flush out lost toxins released from your fat cells. Failure to flush out these unwanted wastes can cause many people to feel slightly nauseated for a few hours.
IS INFRARED HEAT SAFE?
Yes, infrared heat is within the same frequency levels as our own body heat and this is in tune with our own energy system. It is therefore safe and compatible for us to use, allowing deep heat penetration that is not possible with other methods of heating. If you are on medications or have physical conditions, you should consult your physician before using any deep heating treatment.
HOW DOES IT INCREASE MY METABOLISM?
The heat produced by the Infrared Body Wrap Treatment is similar to that of a cardiovascular or physical workout all while laying down for a period of fifty minutes.
